Roma 14

2020, 16 Jan Therefore let us stop passing judgment on one another. Instead, make up your mind not to put any stumbling block or obstacle in the way of a brother or sister. Romans 14:13 NIV At that time, the congregation was debating whether or not to eat food and drink. they justify one another and some even become a stumbling block for their own brothers. then Paul explains that salvation does not come from what we eat and drink but from our faith in the dead Christ so that I can live. Are you now a stumbling block? are you often late Do you have good atitude at the office? Have your words hurt your brother? Do you love and care about your brother? are you still too selfish without thinking about your brother? So? Above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it. Proverbs 4:23 NIV If we live, we live for the Lord; and if we die, we die for the Lord. So, whether we live or die, we belong to the Lord. Romans 14:8 NIV besides that Paul also explained that we live n

Blessings

2020, 15 Jan Blessings God blessed them and said to them, “Be fruitful and increase in number; fill the earth and subdue it. Rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky and over every living creature that moves on the ground.” Genesis 1:28 NIV Today, I really tired and sleepless, because I working until dawn. So my mood is very bad because I'm tired and feels under pressure. but I gratefull this morning I read about "Blessing Plan"  What is blessing for your life? maybe I can answer what's good happened for me, or for my friend or my family. But what blessing which God gives to us? I was read this verse yesterday about How God really love us and want make relationship with me, and God created us in His image. Because the truth is, God wants to bless you beyond your ability to ask or imagine. What is the blessing of God? It’s God—God with us, God for us, God in us. To reduce it to anything less dishonors God and devalues the blessing. God with us is joy uns

Roma 13

2020, 14 Jan For rulers hold no terror for those who do right, but for those who do wrong. Do you want to be free from fear of the one in authority? Then do what is right and you will be commended. Romans 13:3 NIV In the contents of this reading is indeed the authority requested by the government, how should I give tax and obey and respect the policies given by the government. But in my daily life, it's not just the government that has to be respected. but also parents, leaders in the office, leaders in the church and maybe a few others. For me, someone who expects acceptance from someone I respect. The rules must be like the road that must be obeyed, must be violated even though not all rules made were to misery me. For the one in authority is God’s servant for your good. But if you do wrong, be afraid, for rulers do not bear the sword for no reason. They are God’s servants, agents of wrath to bring punishment on the wrongdoer. Romans 13:4 NIV sometimes they issue annoying rules f

Roma 12

2020, 13 Jan Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will. Romans 12:2 NIV This chapter tells about "collection of advice". Long life has passed, and I have the Holy Spirit, so I should have the seeds of truth in my heart and live a new life according to what Christ taught. just this morning, I was already upset because I suddenly had a toothache. immediately want to get angry. so I didn't have time to write in the quiet in the morning and grumbled instead. indeed the pain can affect my mood. but I should be able to maintain my emotions not based on conditions but what holds on in my life. For by the grace given me I say to every one of you: Do not think of yourself more highly than you ought, but rather think of yourself with sober judgment, in accordance with the faith God has distributed to each of you. Romans 12:3 NIV as a

Roma 11

2020, 12 Jan for God’s gifts and his call are irrevocable. Romans 11:29 NIV This chapter tell about God's Covenant.  Paul reiterates that God's promises never change. even though you disobey, but when you repent the covenant will not be canceled. Father, thank you for the umpteenth time you have given me. Like today's sermon, remind me how I am not easily doubted by the voice of the devil. because the devil must know very well about the contents of the Bible. if I don't really search the Bible properly and intact, I could easily be fooled by bits of verse that don't fit the actual context and instead continue to use them as justification. Oh, the depth of the riches of the wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable his judgments, and his paths beyond tracing out! “Who has known the mind of the Lord? Or who has been his counselor?” “Who has ever given to God, that God should repay them?” For from him and through him and for him are all things. To him be the g

Roma 10

2020, 11 Jan But what does it say? “The word is near you; it is in your mouth and in your heart,” that is, the message concerning faith that we proclaim: If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. Romans 10:8‭-‬9 NIV Have you ever felt that far from God? I have.I once felt very doubtful and doubtful. even though the Word is close to my mouth. when I received the true Word the Word was in my heart. What remains is my response, whether I will use the power of the Word to guide my steps or not. and last but not least what to do is 'declare' As Scripture says, “Anyone who believes in him will never be put to shame.” For there is no difference between Jew and Gentile—the same Lord is Lord of all and richly blesses all who call on him, for, “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.” How, then, can they call on the one they have not believed in? And how can they believe in the one

Roma 9

2020, 10 Jan Therefore God has mercy on whom he wants to have mercy, and he hardens whom he wants to harden.  One of you will say to me: “Then why does God still blame us? For who is able to resist his will?” But who are you, a human being, to talk back to God? “Shall what is formed say to the one who formed it, ‘Why did you make me like this?’ ” Romans 9:18‭-‬20 NIV Have you ever asked many questions in your heart? why this happened and why that was so. Have you ever thought something happened out of your control and choice? sadness and despair come over, as if there was no hope anymore. At that time, Paul felt a deep sorrows, because of his physical nation, Israel. but he stressed that what happened, what was chosen was what God wanted. like the ribka that I told Jacob but hated esau? God allows that. continue whether you will argue and consider it unfair? as I also really want the people closest to me to know God correctly. as in the previous chapter, it says "nothing can sepa

PRIVILEGE

2020, 9 Jan Those who live according to the flesh have their minds set on what the flesh desires; but those who live in accordance with the Spirit have their minds set on what the Spirit desires. The mind governed by the flesh is death, but the mind governed by the Spirit is life and peace. The mind governed by the flesh is hostile to God; it does not submit to God’s law, nor can it do so. Those who are in the realm of the flesh cannot please God. Romans 8:5‭-‬8 NIV This morning is cold, accompanied by light rain. So grateful for this morning Lord, I can wake up and dig in Your Word. From this chapter I learn and understand who I am.  Now if we are children, then we are heirs—heirs of God and co-heirs with Christ, if indeed we share in his sufferings in order that we may also share in his glory. Romans 8:17 NIV We are heirs of God. I am no longer a slave. truly extraordinary. I was freed by Jesus. So, I live in accordance with the Spirit have their minds set on what the Spirit desires

Released from the law, bound to Christ

2020, 8 Jan I do not understand what I do. For what I want to do I do not do, but what I hate I do. Romans 7:15 NIV Thank you Lord, for this morning when i woke up. I can learn about your Word. I'm investigating about Paul in Roman book. Paul talks about sin and struggle a lot. This is not just others people struggle but his struggle too. This chapter tells of the struggle of Paul who was converted to be a disciple of Jesus but is still tempted by sin that leads to death. From previous chapter Paul talks about slaves to righteousness. Who is my lord? sin or Christ? whereas as a free person I am no longer a slave to sin. Paul also explained that even though he had spiritually belonged to Christ, the old man could not just change instantly and be free from sin. but he still has to struggle and struggle with his sin. As a disciples, I also learn about God's Word and the longer my knowledge and wisdom increase. I studied the law and also the books. so that I know more and more of

Roma 6

2020, 7 Jan We were therefore buried with him through baptism into death in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, we too may live a new life. For if we have been united with him in a death like his, we will certainly also be united with him in a resurrection like his. For we know that our old self was crucified with him so that the body ruled by sin might be done away with, that we should no longer be slaves to sin— Romans 6:4‭-‬6 NIV So grateful today ❤️, when I feel so insecure, You gave me strength and encourage me with Your Word. This chapter deals with the function of baptism. maybe if discussing which verse for baptism lessons. Must have memorized who announced the verse. but do you still remember the meaning contained in it? For we know that our old self was crucified with him so that the body ruled by sin might be done away with, that we should no longer be slaves to sin - My old life was buried with Christ. What happened in the

In Security

2020, 6 Jan You see, at just the right time, when we were still powerless, Christ died for the ungodly. Very rarely will anyone die for a righteous person, though for a good person someone might possibly dare to die. But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us. Romans 5:6‭-‬8 NIV Father, I learn about insecurity because I'm feeling anxious. Although I know, in the Bible says I'm precious, God love me, Don't be afraid because the right hand of God hold me. But how when i got failed? after everything good which God has gave to me? I failed because my mistake and wrong decision i have made?! I feel guilty and insecure.  When I'm dig in the bible verse this morning, i found the root of my insecurity. If last year, i put my security or my strength in people. Now, i put my security in what i have achieved. So, when I didn't get according to my standard, i'm sad. I didn't blame situation so I'm failed. but t

HOPE AND FAITH

2020, 5 Jan Against all hope, Abraham in hope believed and so became the father of many nations, just as it had been said to him, “So shall your offspring be.” Without weakening in his faith, he faced the fact that his body was as good as dead—since he was about a hundred years old—and that Sarah’s womb was also dead. Romans 4:18‭-‬19 NIV I like this verse, because this verse will encourage me for believe and step forward. I'm struggling with my sin and suddenly I remembered the past that made me feel guilty. I remembered when I learn about how to know God's will and sin. and some fear also descended. I need a hope, strong hope which make me confident and encourage me. God has promised to give a hopeful future. I learn about Abraham's faith. He can hear voice of God and do what God's will. I think if we really do what God's will and pleasing Him. I never be doubt or confused, but I will confident and walk with faith, enjoy and peace. From bible verse I learn about

The Hindrances: What’s Stopping Your Progress

2020, 4 Jan for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, Romans 3:23 NIV This article in bible reading plan related with bible verse I read today. its about sin. sin will stopping my progress to know God's will. Sin is a serious problem that is hampering my relationship with God. I know, but it is difficult to continue to maintain my holiness. I learn what's stopping my progress, so i can avoid and aware about that. Today, we’ll consider several factors that can block our ability to hear God. If not dealt with promptly, each can become noise in our lives that stops us from discerning what the Lord is saying to us.  Self Will — The most common and destructive of these factors is our own self-will. We’re so focused on our own needs and desires that we can’t hear what the Lord is telling us.  The Influence of Others — People have influence in our lives, and they’ll always have an opinion when we have a decision to make. But they aren’t you and will never know better th

2020, 3 Jan Conscience — Another factor in discerning God’s will is through our conscience, which is the inner voice that acts as a moral filter. It’s the alarm that goes off within us when we’re tempted to do something that isn’t right or when we head in the wrong direction (Indeed, when Gentiles, who do not have the law, do by nature things required by the law, they are a law for themselves, even though they do not have the law. They show that the requirements of the law are written on their hearts, their consciences also bearing witness, and their thoughts sometimes accusing them and at other times even defending them.) Romans 2:14‭-‬15 NIV God put law and conscience on my heart to remind me when I didn't do God's will. Every day there just opened me even more about my heart. I'm in the 'attention seeker' condition. the kind of thing I made myself to make myself feel secure and accepted. Am I spiritually weak? hmm I realize it because I'm back like I was bef
